The creatores of the company were born in the years 1958 and 1962 respectivly, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. These two Italian together combined their talents in 1982, and were dismiessed by other people as predicted to be failured, for being "too young" of all reasons to fail for.

The Group creates, produces and distributes clothing, knitwear, leather goods, footwear and accessories for the top end of the market.
